Waterloo EDC

As a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Waterloo EDC, I research market trends and business news to create strategic storytelling, write and publish blog content, and develop LinkedIn campaigns to attract international companies looking to expand. I also create branded visual content using Adobe Creative Cloud to support digital marketing and communications initiatives.

Blog Posts

Created blogs for Waterloo EDC aimed at international companies, highlighting local developments and opportunities. The process included research, writing, editing, and designing accompanying graphics to engage readers.

Statistic Video

I designed a Canva video template to present statistics in a more engaging way on LinkedIn. It gives the team flexibility to create visually compelling posts and is now also used for headlines and key messages. These posts are among the highest-performing content on Waterloo EDC’s LinkedIn.

City Comparison Graphic

I designed a comparison graphic to position Waterloo alongside a similar global city and highlight its competitiveness. The graphic is now used across LinkedIn posts and webpages, showcasing key similarities in talent, technology, innovation, and manufacturing while reinforcing Waterloo as a strong alternative to major global hubs.

This example is especially useful for members of the Business Development team when traveling to the featured city, as it provides a concise and compelling way to communicate Waterloo’s value.

Term Review

At the end of my work term, I created a presentation to highlight my contributions and share ideas to support the marketing team moving forward. It was well received by the team and contributed to a very high co-op rating.
